Chi running is a ‘movement’ that is associated with a particular running technique that is associated with more of a forward lean and a midfoot strike of the foot rather than the more common heel strike. Is it worth it? There are certainly some elements of Chi Running that are worth it and some runners will benefit in changing their running technique more in that direction, but the problem with Chi Running is that it is marketed with and almost ‘religious’ like zeal that is unfortunate and sets of a number of read flags. Not all runners with benefit from it and that is my biggest issues, there is no such thing as a ‘one size fits all’ approach to running technique. If you are considering, it then check some of the reviews, such as this one. There is no evidence that I can find to support Chi Running, all I can find are testimonials.
